Super Healing Giant 'Hehe Rabbit'
Super Healing Giant 'Hehe Rabbit
My new public sculpture, entitled "HEHE Rabbit," was unveiled in the city of Taiyuan, China in 2023. The sculpture, which is a giant inflatable balloon rabbit measuring over 5 metres tall, was installed in a prominent location in the city centre. The sculpture was created to celebrate the 2023 lunar year of the Rabbit and to mark the end of the epidemic era. It is intended to bring joy, comfort, and healing to the residents and visitors of Taiyuan.
The sculpture, which is called "Super Healing Giant 'Hehe Rabbit'" was designed to open their mouths to laugh out loud instead of opening for the covid nucleic acid test, as it was meant to provide a sense of comfort and healing. For the Year of the Rabbit the artist Ferdi B Dick hopes that this soft, cute, and healing sculpture would bring new life to the city. As the city was gradually saying goodbye to the epidemic, Ferdi also hoped that the sculpture would help people let go of any internal friction and find some emotional healing.
The sculpture was made of durable, weather-resistant material, and was illuminated from within, creating a striking visual effect at night. The inflatable design of the sculpture added a playful and dynamic element, and the overall effect was one of whimsical wonder.
The public response to "HEHE Rabbit" was overwhelmingly positive, with many people taking photos with the sculpture and expressing their appreciation for the artist's creativity and the city's commitment to public art. I am honored to have had the opportunity to create this sculpture and am thrilled to see it bringing joy and healing to the people of Taiyuan. 2023 must be a year full of hope.
