Large scale public sculpture by Ferdi B Dick
I design and deliver public sculptures for cities, developers, hotels, architects, and private clients looking for work with real presence. Each project begins with a strong sculptural idea, then moves through drawings, 3D visualisations, prototyping, fabrication, logistics, and final installation. Depending on the scale and requirements, I work with a trusted network of fabricators, engineers, foundries, installers, and technical specialists to bring each piece through to completion.
These projects are not small undertakings. They need to perform visually, structurally, and practically in real environments over time. They also need to engage the viewer, respond to the character of a site, and remain convincing both from a distance and up close. My role is to lead the sculptural vision while coordinating the broader production process needed to realise the work properly. Some projects begin as bespoke commissions. Others grow from forms and series already developing in my practice. In both cases, the aim is the same: to create sculpture that feels memorable, durable, conceptually grounded, and emotionally direct.
